ATS EVP
Avanade Technology Solutions (ATS) is a geographically-based workforce within Avanade that provides Application Development, Application Maintenance, and Infrastructure Operations services to a variety of clients utilizing the broad spectrum of Microsoft-based technologies and tools.
A .NET Release Manager leads the functional and technical design, development, delivery and maintenance of technology-based business solutions. They are responsible for designing, coding, enhancing and testing software applications to meet business requirements. They lead the identification and implementation of configuration changes and maintenance of software applications. A Lead .NET Developer/Release Manager has some management responsibility for the technology solution and the development of the team. They may also have some responsibility for sales planning, proposal development and sales presentations with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and perform the designing, coding and testing of software
- Oversee and perform the maintenance and repair of applications in accordance with technical and functional specifications
- Oversee the creation, execution and documentation of tests necessary to ensure that an application or technical environment meets requirements
- Lead the identification and implementation of configuration changes to packaged software applications to meet business requirements
- Lead the coordination of automated build, merge, configuration, and deployment activities for custom software packages using TFS and MS Build
- Lead the planning and implementation of all actions required to deploy the application both technically and functionally
- Plan, analyze and define high-level software strategies and solutions through functional expertise and an understanding of the enterprise, business system and industry
- Lead the definition of functional and technical requirements of the application
- Develop a high-performing, motivated work group by applying interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realize value
- Help to identify client needs to support the sales effort
- Fine tune applications for performance
- Leverage design patterns
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
You will need excellent communication skills and hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment. Qualified candidates should possess: - 2+ years of technology consulting
- 8+ years as a programmer
- Deep Microsoft platform skills
- Full software development life cycle experience developing large scale, scalable applications
- 4 + years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following:
- .NET Framework
- C#
- ASP.NET
- WinForms
- QA and testing procedures
- SQL Server
- Microsoft Enterprise Library
- WCF
- Design Patterns
- SDLC
- 2 + years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following:
- Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- MS Build
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in 1 or more of the following:
- Services Oriented Architectures or WCF
- Silverlight/WPF
- BizTalk
- PowerShell
- 4+ years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following development methodologies:
- Object Oriented development
- Component based development
- Design patterns
- Design for reuse
- 2+ years technical lead experience in one or more of the following roles:
- Build Engineer
- Web services development
- Data access development
- Mobile application development
- Security
- Application integration
- Testing & Deployment
- User interface design
- Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
- Proven ability to understand a customer's needs
- Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
- Strong customer service skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field
- Microsoft certification preferred
