Position Description:
The IT Security Operations Analyst reports to the Director of AIG Property Casualty IT Security Operations and is responsible for supporting security solutions, threat and vulnerability management processes, data loss events, and incident response.
Perform application security vulnerability scans, prior to implementation to production and periodic post production.
The ideal candidate is an integrator of people and processes, an innovative leader, a problem solver, an effective consultant, and possesses solid domain competency in the field of information security management by having demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
Identify, evaluate and report on information security risks in a manner that meets the company's legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
Manage incident response planning and management of security incidents and events to protect client IT assets (eg information, critical infrastructure, intellectual property, and reputation), such duties to include overseeing the investigation of security breaches and assisting with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches, as necessary.
Provide 7/24 Anti-Virus incidents and critical server changes and modifications alerts (from ISS alert system) and notify involved parties in order to analyze and prevent virus outbreaks and ensure server changes are properly approved.
Perform periodic PCI - Payment Card Industry scans on applications that require adherence to the PCI DSS standards.
Provide security compliance reports on systems involving patch management, configuration management, data loss prevention, e-mail encryption violations, laptop encryption (SafeBoot) and Anti-Virus.
Analyze, escalate, and provide reports on data loss prevention, e-mail encryption, and external infrastructure vulnerability scans (FoundStone) violation monitored activities.
Perform IT Security Operations related tasks and responsibilities on special projects and future technology implementations (eg Fed readiness, company rebranding from Chartis to AIG Property and Casualty, bring your own device, smart phones, Chatter, Video Conferencing, etc.)
Position Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be a critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Up-to-date knowledge of technological trends and developments in the area of information security and risk management.
Must have experience coordinating security operations functions in a global environment (multiple regions/countries)
Multi-lingual preferred
Knowledge of information security standards, codes of practice and guidelines such as the ISO/IEC 27000 series, the NIST Computer Security Division Special Publications and Federal Information Processing Standards, and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.
