Senior Infrastructure Analyst (VMware, Network and Servers)

Yoh has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst (VMware, Network and Servers) to join our client in The Woodlands, Texas.

Job Overview:

The Senior Infrastructure Analyst will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the IT network and infrastructure. This position will focus on the administration of the network infrastructure to include desktop/laptop computers, servers, network equipment, software applications, and telecommunications. He/she will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the operation of the IT network and make recommendations for implementation.

Job Responsibilities:

- Network administration, user account management, Internet access, telecommunications, applications support, and disaster recovery.
- Design, manage and implement Vmware ESX servers
- Windows server planning, set up and administration
- Vmware Monitoring using Vcenter Operations Manager
- Physical to Virtual Migration
- Cisco set up and configuration
- Supports the servers, desktop computers, mobile devices, phone system, printers, and network infrastructure.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors procedures for all server backups and offsite storage.
- Ability to follow SOX guidelines established by corporate office.
- Ensure company-wide standards are adhered to in all aspects of IT infrastructure including, but not limited to, wide-area network, local area network, and network security.
- Monitors the utilization of all networks to detect potential errors or problems and provides necessary prevention guidelines.
- Manage local vendor relationships and services.
- Provide support to other sites as needed and required.
- Work with IT Administrator in resolving user help desk issues.
- Assist with technology planning through ongoing research.
- Provide executive level support.

Job Qualifications:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Computer Science with seven (7) years of experience or ten (10) plus years of experience with Information Technology and/or related business experience.
- Vmware Expertise
- Excellent communications and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, VMWare, Windows Server 2008, MS SQL, MS Windows desktop (7/8), security, ServiceNow, MPLS, Active Directory, Cisco switches/routers, Avaya phone system, and backup/recovery technologies (Backup Exec/VEEM).
- Use of ITIL best practices for change and incident management is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel to other US sites.
