The Senior Project Manager will perform functions to coordinate and direct all activities from the inception to the successful completion of major complex projects.

In this position, you will:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Internal manage major complex projects involving significant engineering development, third-party interfaces and possibly including field-testing and installation
  • Develop strategies with Sales to grow market and margin expansion
  • Develop influential relationships with target customers at all levels, understand decision-making processes, and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers
  • Coordinate, develop, and prepare segments of major project proposals, including customer presentations and negotiations
  • Provide direction and oversight to a project team including engineering, quality assurance, production planning, purchasing and cost accounting; secure and coordinate the services of support organizations including legal, finance, manufacturing, sales and field service
  • Continuously monitor the project for signs of existing or potential problems and take the lead role to solve or preclude the problem from developing
  • Add resources, negotiate change with the customer, revise the plan, etc.
  • Represent business as the single-point contact for the project's customer, with respect to technical, commercial, schedule, and add-on sales; develop and negotiate proposals for supplemental work and changes of project scope
  • Prepare and issue progress reports and presentations to customers and management
  • Coordinate/conduct periodic review meetings of projects in process for business leadership
  • Attend "post mortem" reviews for Houston-based projects and assist the dedicated project manager with retrospective evaluation of the project, developing and implementing systematic changes deemed appropriate as a result of these reviews

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university (or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of project management or commercial operations experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial operations and/or oilfield operations including exposure to a wide range of facets, including technical, commercial and sales within the oil industry

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel, as required
