Avanade Technology Solutions (ATS) is a geographically-based workforce within Avanade that provides Application Development, Application Maintenance, and Infrastructure Operations services to a variety of clients utilizing the broad spectrum of Microsoft-based technologies and tools. A SharePoint Developer participates in the functional and technical design, development, and testing of Portal, ECM, and Collaboration solutions to meet business requirements. A SharePoint Developer applies functional knowledge and technical expertise to help optimize solutions through knowledge of configuration changes and customization best practices to minimize maintenance and support requirements while optimizing performance and delivered business value.

Responsibilities:
-Develop SharePoint components (web parts, application pages, page layouts, etc.) for enterprise scale Portal, ECM, and Collaboration solutions
- Develop customizations for branded solutions including master pages, CSS style definitions, templates, and themes
- Participate in the creation, execution and documentation of functional and automated tests necessary to ensure that delivered solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify where configuration changes can be made to utilize Out of the Box functionality in lieu of unnecessary code customizations
- Assist in planning, designing, and developing Solution and Feature packages to ensure successful deployment of customizations while maintaining the integrity of the SharePoint environment and upgrade path
- Assist in the development of technical specifications to meet solution functional and non-functional requirements

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

You will need excellent communication skills and hands-on experience working on component based applications in a distributed environment.

Qualified candidates should possess: -2+ years of enterprise software development
- 2+ years of team software development
- Strong communication skills
- Deep Microsoft platform skills
- 2 to 4+ years as a programmer
- Deep Microsoft platform skills
- Full software development lifecycle experience on large scale, scalable applications
- 2+ years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following:
-SharePoint web parts development
- SharePoint solution packaging
- Business Connectivity Services
- Service Oriented Architecture
- .NET Framework (C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net)
- Web content management
- QA and testing procedures
- SQL Server
- 2+ years demonstrated strong knowledge and proficiency in the following development methodologies:
-Object oriented development
- Component based development
- Design patterns
- Design for reuse
- 2+ years technical lead experience in one or more of the following roles:
-Web services development
- Data access development
- Mobile application development
- Security Application integration
- Testing and Deployment
- User interface design
- Demonstrated project experience with regard to estimates, planning and deliverables
- Proven ability to understand a customer's needs
- Experience developing technical requirements based on business imperatives
- Strong customer service skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS or related field

Preferred Requirements:
-Microsoft certification(s)
- Functional Microsoft technology knowledge of the following:
-SharePoint 2010
