Yoh has a six (6) month contract opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst III to join our client in Houston, Texas (Downtown).

Job Responsibilities:

    - Under general supervision, provides operational and technical support to computer customers and interacts with external suppliers of technology.
    - The incumbent will install/troubleshoot and configure computers, printers and peripheral equipment, perform rotating IT Service Center call support and be responsible for setting customer expectations to provide positive customer experience.
    - Resolve moderately complex issues and implement projects regarding system operations.
    - Work with general supervision to ensure customer satisfaction by providing installation, configuration, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Strive to quickly resolve problems and fix it right the first time. Will confer with Manager on unusual matters.
    - Analyze and evaluate information system operations and provide technical direction and recommendations to improve utilization.
    - Administer, maintain, and support non-PC hardware such as telephone systems, printers, copiers, and hand-held devices (ie Blackberries).
    - Coordinate with multiple vendors/departments/field staff to determine requirements and procure IT equipment including, hardware, software, and services (EX cabling) at competitive prices.
    - Coordinate with vendors/customers to determine requirements/tasks for Acquisition/Divesture activities.
    - May occasionally act as team leader on less complex projects and/or coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs.
    - May plan and conduct training support for customers and less experienced staff.
    - Establish good working relationship with customers and Market Area Management teams.
    - Prioritize work load and multi task many activities with focus on providing positive customer experience.
    - Guide customers through a series of actions either in-person or over the phone to resolve computer performance issues.
    - Meet timeline responsibilities for administrative tasks such as Time/Task Entry, Weekly Activity Reports and Expense Reports.
    - Be fiscally responsible. Keeping customer experience in mind look to resolve incidents/request remotely first before travelling on-site.

Job Qualifications:

    - Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Computer Science, MIS or similar area of study.
    - Three to Five years previous IT work experience.
    - May require intermediate skills in one or more of the following: Hardware and software support, computer maintenance/troubleshooting, Networking-installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN hardware, Kronos, TopCall, MS Operating Systems-MS Office Suites-other MS Applications-MS Exchange Server technologies, AS400 Client Access-Query-Operation Navigator, Remedy, Backups in Enterprise environment, Oracle SQL, Enterprise systems management, UNIX system administration, PeopleSoft, Tivoli, Vantive, SAN technologies, database design and custom queries, web-based solutions, reporting and document control
    - Strong oral and written skill set.
    - Communication and project management skills.
    - Travel expected 20-30%

Note: This is a Call Center environment

Preferred Job Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

    - MCSE, MCP, Network+, A+. Scripting knowledge is a plus (VB, PowerShell)
