Key Role:

Lead the IT service provision on large data center program to support the client. Perform at the highest level of management to the project with "hands on" responsibility and maintain an IAT-II level certification as outlined in DoD 8570.1M. Manage the design, configuration, installation, testing, and troubleshooting of IT systems and services primarily consisting of a virtualized Microsoft Windows 2008 Active Directory environment. Maintain responsibility for deriving system-level requirements from architectural guidelines and project objectives, develop detailed designs with supporting implementation, maintain responsibility for test and transition plans, usher proposed system changes through the configuration management process to the successful implementation for transition to the O&M RBA teams, manage project scope, goals, milestones, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using established earned value and contract specific tool sets and procedures, and act as a cost account manager for assigned projects, including managing project budget and performing monthly finance activities, such as actual evaluation, forecasts, and reporting, such as variance. Determine and assess the need for additional staff or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment, if necessary during the project life cycle, set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders, identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team, identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, and track project milestones and deliverables. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and analyze contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle, build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project, conduct project post mortems, create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, and contribute to the development of PMO best practices and tools for project execution and management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-10 years of experience with IT
-Experience with leading IT projects, including all phases of project development and execution
-Experience with project management software, including Microsoft Project
-Experience with managing projects, using Earned Value
-Experience with DCMA and adhering to financial guidelines
-Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
-Ability to conduct research into project-related issues and products
-Active Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree in IT or Project Management
-8570 IAT-II Level Certification

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in a DoD environment
-Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
-Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
-Ability to remain flexible during times of change
-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Project Management (PMP) or ITIL Certification
-IAM II Certification, including CISSP, GSLC, or CISM a plus.
