JOB DESCRIPTION: Software developer/support position for software support on a DoD contract contingent on the position becoming available . This is a one person support position that encompasses all phases of software development and support.

The developer will be responsible for new development converting an Oracle based estimating and budgeting software application to Visual Studio 2010 using C#. The developer may need to use AJAX, HTML, and JavaScript. The developer will use Windows 7, IIS version 7.5 and Oracle database 11g. Maintain and/or develop new PL/SQL packages including stored procedures and functions.

The developer will also be responsible for maintenance of an existing travel request software application using Visual Studio 2010 using Visual Basic and a SQL Server database. There is also some server administration duties involved in accessing the database using Remote Desktop Connections Manager, SQL Server Management Studio and IIS for managing the application pool and the website. The developer will also have responsibilities of being the helpdesk support for users using the travel request software application.

The developer will also be responsible for handling the software needs of the organization that they support beginning with the approval process for the requested software, obtaining price quotes, ensuring that the resource management office completes payment, all the way to ensuring that the software is installed by the helpdesk tech and keeping track of named licenses.

The developer should be aware of methods to implement into new software development to ensure that the application is Information Assurance (IA) Compliant.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS: Visual Studio, C#, Visual Basic Remote Desktop Connections Manager, Oracle database, PL/SQL, SQL

BS/BA and 5 years experience, a secret clearance and Security+ certification. Candidate must obtain, with SAIC assistance, within six (6) months of the hire date, a professional computing environment certification, unless already possesses such certification.

DESIRED SKILLS: 5 years experience with the following:
