Description:
Job Description: Candidate will perform a variety of Software/Systems integration activities for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) software and hardware. Ultimately, this position supports the government in its role as the lead system integrator. The position involves working within NG to obtain firsthand experience with the IBCS system, its operation and interfaces. The personnel would then use their experience to support NG product deliveries and integration activities with the other IAMD components such as Sentinel, Patriot Launcher and Radar Interface Unit (RIU). The personnel will help plan, operate, test, document and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of the interface between various software packages developed by different primes. The candidate will ensure technical specifications and standards are met, help plan and orchestrate integration and test events, operate NG systems and subsystems, solve software/hardware interface problems, define input/output parameters and ensure integration of the entire system. Candidate will coordinate subsystem and/or system test activities with other program organizations. Candidate will be responsible for performing analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports. Candidate will write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify incorporated fixes.
Qualifications
:
Required Skills:
- Experience in software/system integration and testing, and integration and use of COTS products, AMD weapon system operations would be a plus
- Experience with formal software verification and test
- Ability to recognize interactions of complex systems and isolate problematic functions
- Continuous integration practices including build and deployment automation, automated unit testing
- Familiarity operating in a UNIX/Linux environment including file management, manipulation, compression/decompression, archival, permissions and ownership modifications.
- Ability to identify need for and develop scripts to improve integration process efficiency and effectiveness
- Ability to apply software patches when required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and capable of working effectively in a loosely structured organization with minimal direct supervision.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in AMD and/or IAMD functional areas such as Track Management, IBCS Defense Design, IBCS Mission Support, Embedded Training, Mission Control and Sensor Services is a plus.
- Past System Administration knowledge with Industry certifications such as Security + and Linux + are highly desirable.
Educational Requirements:
BS in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from an Accredited University (equivalent expreince accepted in lieu of degree) and 12+ years of experience .
Clearance Requirements: Current DoD SECRET clearance is required
