Role Purpose/Accountabilities:
Role purpose:
- The purpose of the Master Data Lead role is to direct the coordination and design on new data management programs/tools that further access the ease of data manipulation and reporting. Additionally, manage workflow and project portfolio of VDFCC Quality Module Master Data team in Nampa. The role will also provide leadership in the use of data analysis techniques and structured problem solving to support VDFCC P&S Operations and PPT activities including data analysis support in identifying trends in non-conforming product and assist in roots cause analyses to identify necessary corrective actions. The position will also require managing key stakeholders in capturing the business needs/requirements and lead change management in IS design and implementation.
Accountabilities:
- Take personal commitment and accountability to support our HSE goal zero initiative
- Ensure that mass update tools, audits reports, tolerance thresholds and vendor imports are properly functioning in timely manner for end users.
- Support Business process changes and alignment from Implementation through Hypercare
- Lead QMMD team in Nampa, and ensure that projects are aligned with business need and delivered to the business in a timely manner.
- Communicate with Crop Quality Expert PPT, SBS and business stakeholders about all master data in scope.
- Serve as SAP Business Expert and Key User.
- Provide and support timely testing of regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) when requested by Business Process Analyst.
- Support all projects with Product Quality MD related expert knowledge input
- Ensure proper linkage and interface of QMMD to other SAP business modules (ie Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Logistics Controlling and Production - Process, etc.)
- Design user friendly reports to improve ease of operation of SAP for the end user.
- Develop training tools for SAP and SAP console to facilitate ease of use for end uses.
- Establish and maintain networks within the region, between regions, with the CP statistics community and with global PPT to aid problem solving and establish best practice in data analysis.
- Provide data analysis support to identify trends in, and root causes of, non-conforming product (process deviations) across VDFCC P&S.
- Support data analysis for internal and external laboratory and protocol validation
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Critical knowledge: :
BS in biology, statistics, computer science or other preferred
- Experience or good knowledge in Quality control, planning & Logistic, Sales and marketing processes
- Knowledge of Planning Cycles, Production and Processing and Sales
- Experience in an international work environment; ability to deal with various and diverse cultures and work habits.
- Strong ability to understand conceptual design to link process flows to IS tools
- Strong background in statistical analysis
- Knowledge in understanding SAP tables, linkages, and transaction design.
- Fluent in English
Critical experience:
- Experience in a logistic or quality admin related function, (preferably in a seed company).
- Experience with ERP system.
- SAP and Microsoft office skill
- Computer programming skills such as; VBA or VB, Macro Creation, access experience in creating queries and reports.
- Experience with statistical analysis software such as JMP or SAS
