Global SAP SCM Delivery Manager

Prestigious Global Enterprise Company is currently seeking a Manager of Global SAP Support. Candidate will be a "hands on" technical resource, and will lead and work alongside SAP business Analyst Team driving improvement in the business systems using analytical tools, knowledge of best practices and a continuing study of new technologies and processes to design systems and processes that improve productivity, streamline business functions and solve problems identified by the business. The Manager will develop and implement a management strategy for Business Analyst teams that will ensure for effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring of Business Analysts throughout the organization. The Manager will also institute and ensure for the adherence of defined performance objectives, goals, and growth opportunities for Business Analysts making recommendations for staff augmentation when appropriate. S/he will balance requirements against available resources and ensure that service level expectations are met.

Responsibilities:

- Contribute to overall strategic vision and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding SAP implementation and support.
- Seek out opportunities for business process improvement with a focus on improved use of system functionality/usability.
- Analyze business requirements and identify relevant SAP solution alternatives.
- Evaluate business and system impact of proposed changes to the SAP environment.
- Ensure business continuity by conducting change reviews and managing the release of new functionality in the system(s).
- Maintain a consistently high level of communication with other areas of IT, specifically EDI, Development and Infrastructure.
- Coordinate activity and manage department resources in support of application projects across multiple time zones.
- Make recommendations to management when requirements outpace resources.
- When necessary, coordinate activity and distribution of work load between internal and external resources.
- Mentor staff and foster an environment of personal and professional growth among the team members.
- Manage resource availability, conduct performance appraisals and participate in the hiring process for staff.
- Approve technical specifications for system enhancements and assign resources for subsequent system configuration/development.
- Interact regularly with users to ensure they understand and are making full use of the system capabilities.
- Troubleshoot user problems, recommend and implement solutions.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 7 years SAP configuration and implementation experience
2. Minimum 3 years' experience managing teams of 5 plus people.
3. Multiple full life cycle SAP R/3 implementations, one of which is an ECC6 implementation.
4. Functional experience in any of the following ECC modules: SD, WM, FI/CO, PP, MM, BW.
5. Experience with EDI integration with SAP.
6. Strong business acumen, preferably in fmance or the manufacturing and distribution area.
7. Must have good analytical, statistical and problem solving skills.
8. Sound judgment and decision making skills. Strong work ethic.
9. Excellent interpersonal/customer relation skills; excellent verbal and written communications; ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
10. Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions.
11. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality.
12. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
13. ITIL understanding a plus.
14. Education - Bachelor's degree.
15. International and domestic travel: 15%.
