SAP SCM Configuration Professional (MM, WM, SD)

Prestigious manufacturing and distribution company is  looking for a SAP SCM Configuration Analyst who is strong in the configuration of MM, WM, and SD. Must have good configuration skills and be able to communicate well with the different business units. Gathering requirements for business users will be a big part of the role, any RF experience is a plus.

As member of a team, this SAP SCM Business Analyst will focus on large projects including new implementations and process redesigns.  The individual will draw on expertise in successfully implementing SD, IM, and WM modules with the ability to understand the possibility of utilizing RF scanning/barcoding to successfully map business process to SAP functionality. 

 The SAP SCM Analyst will manage direction of SAP SCM activities and operations with client users, including development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing SAP SD, IM, and WM modules this includes, but is not limited to the following:

• In depth understanding and practical application of SAP configuration
• Designs/Creates functional requirements for SAP system changes
• Coordinates and reviews new functional business requirements and determines the impact on the production SAP environment.
• Configures system enhancements where appropriate
• Executes or coordinates system integration testing; performs tests and modifies application configurations to resolve errors.
• Responds to reports of operational problems and requests for assistance; provides operational support and implements fixes and additional features.
• Researches, develops, and proposes both short and long term solutions to SAP system requirements.
• Supports departmental functions/usage of SAP modules; evaluates system requirements and implements solutions; configures, modifies, and coordinates testing of released objects.
• Creates and documents strategies; and develops, coordinates and executes standards, policies, methods and procedures for ERP business processes.
• Provides day-to-day technical direction and leadership for SAP business processes including the interfacing to manufacturing
• Ability to accomplish deliverables involving complex and highly analytical tasks.
• Consults with multiple Business users to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of system access.
• Analyzes and develops requirements for enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits user needs.  Tracks and fully documents changes; writes detailed procedures for permanent records and for use in training provides technical assistance in training all levels of SAP users analyzes ERP systems technical literature and translates in terms understandable to end users stay abreast of current trends, literature, and technologies in the field of ERP management.  Performs related duties as required. 

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3  years in one of the following SAP Functional Areas WM/MM, or SD including 2 full life cycle implementations
• Experience in configuring and managing the implementation of: Warehouse and distribution functions, RF technology (preferably using IS mobile), batch management, MRP, and integration to quality and inventory controls. 
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to manage projects in a timely manner, or clearly anticipate and communicate project issues.
• Ability to work with information system users under stressful conditions.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot ERP system problems and recommend appropriate alternatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
