Description
Gather requirements from business partners. Lead Functional and Technical design, development and implementation of new strategies and enhancements in credit decisioning systems. Works with business and technology partners to plan and define project requirements. Attend meetings to understand desired results. Perform coding, unit and/or system testing, and documents changes. Requires troubleshooting and correction of production issues. May also direct work to junior application developers. Demonstrates organizational skills and the ability to communicate to all levels of management.

Responsibilities:

- Support large and complex systems for Credit Cards, including Credit Bureau Attribute Management or Account Acquisitions or Account Management platforms. Designs and codes programs; creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and revise programs. Writes documentation that describes installation and operating procedures. Create and maintain project related documents for audit purpose.

- Review and re-engineer existing platforms to improve capacity and efficiency. Create Functional and Technical design documents. Interfaces with system designers to design, code, and test and implement application programs. Assists in developing application specifications.

- Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications, systems designs, and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques.

- Lead and mentor junior team members on best practices. Manages timelines and deliverables for projects. Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning

Qualifications
Professional Credentials and Education:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience with SAS.
- 2 years of experience with JCL.
- 2 years of experience in a banking or credit card environment.
- 2 years of experience on SDLC projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience with VBA, Java, or C++
- 1 year of experience with decisioning or transaction management applications.

EDUCATION
- Minimum: Bachelors
- Preferred: Masters

- Business Information Systems or Computer Science or Engineering

Typical Work Experience: 4 years of related experience in
- Development in a Decision Engine (eg Strategy Manager, TRIAD, Blaze Advisor, Probe)
