Sr Manager National Business Network Integration - Itasca, IL-NET000224
This position leads the development of operational design standards along with the development and implementation of network design solutions uniformly across the U.S. Cellular® network. The Sr. Manager of Business and Network Integration manages over a multi-discipline Matrix organization which includes Deployment Managers, Business Process Engineers and Standards Engineers.
This position has the overall responsibility for the development of operational design and engineering standards for the operations and maintenance of the U.S. Cellular® network. This position also is responsible for strategic development, planning and implementing key programs and initiatives across the U.S. Cellular® network.
Additional responsibilities include development of staffing models to accommodate the variability of service demands, generate business cases to justify resources and tools, develop and analyze metrics to measure performance and implement changes where necessary to achieve set goals. This leadership position acts to empower and inspire their multi-discipline team to achieve goals and recognize and reward success.
Develops and implements effective strategies and tactics to improve program management
processes, address enterprise project requirements, and identify alternative approaches required for
successful business outcomes
Provide and deliver executive management reports and presentations depicting operational results as well as operational plans and strategies
Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and guidance on a continuous basis to team members in the areas of
leadership, communication, stakeholder management, project lifecycle, operating procedures, processes and
practices
Analyze operational results, financial performance and customer satisfaction results in order to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
Facilitates and leads cross functional and intra-functional teams in planning and risk mitigation processes
related to interdependencies of projects and services provided
Develop and communicate design standards related to the U.S. Cellular® network operations including cell towers, switch facilities and hub sites to support a standards operation environment
Responsible for the strategic management of multiple project and groups
Lead initiatives to resolve highly complex problems, where analyses of situations or data require in-depth evaluation
Develop, improve and implement practices, policies and procedures which support he U.S. Cellular® network Set national performance standards for U.S. Cellular® network
Work with regional engineering operations, as well as NOCC management to ensure network quality
Responsible for research, trial and implementation of new products to enhance system integrity as well as optimize process efficiency
Build exceptional relationships with customer to foster increased satisfaction
Develop and implement organizational structural changes to achieve operational efficiencies and improved customer satisfaction
Responsible for measuring performance metrics for process or efficiency improvements and performance planning and review.
Analyze operational metrics and audit reports to ensure compliance. Responsible for the communication of such results to ensure network wide compliance
Act as a senior level escalation point to diffuse internal or external issues
Accountable for fulfilling customer contractual obligations and installation/engineering standards
Responsible for professional staff development, performance management and review, career planning/coaching.
Effective management of budgets and resources allocations
Promote the growth and development of inter/intradepartmental relationships
Bachelor degree in related discipline or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred
Minimum 10 years business experience in operations, with 7+ years of leadership experience
Advanced knowledge of telecommunication, engineering and/or network operations
Prior experience in project management with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks required
Ability to build a cross-functional team is required
Exceptional leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written skills are required
Business knowledge of wireless industry a plus
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
