About the Opportunity
The SQL Data Programmer is responsible for working with client services to provide the highest quality products and services to our internal and external customers. The SQL Data Programmer works on multiple, quick-turn assignments that are complex in nature and where considerable judgment is required in developing output files/reports.

Responsibilities
Take specifications and use them to (design/) code solutions. Use and fully understand established appropriate processes to meet customer requirements, and be able to customize if required. Verify program execution is successful. Proactively identify areas for improving processes and client service. Focus on meeting and exceeding client expectations. Create technical design and operational documentation. Enhance and execute detailed project plans.

Receive and process input feeds. Verify input data quality, including identification and communication of file variances and potential issues. Manage quality assurance of input feeds. Maintain documentation of processes, file layouts, and/or schedules. Maintain logs for all incoming feeds and generated files.

Perform file transfers. Perform backup procedures. Send all outputs to appropriate location (FTP, e-mail, folders)

Maintain and adhere to production schedules.

Manage the quality and timeliness of output deliverables. Ensure compliance with production standards. Test/Quality Control the solution.

Ensure adoption of team standards for development, process, and controls.

QC standard and ad-hoc jobs by ensuring a successful job run and that job meets established QC criteria.

Responsible for planning, analyzing requirements, designing solutions, developing code for easy to complex, high-volume batch processing systems.

Commuicate effectively with direct supervisor and project manager in support of the project.

Synthesize relevant information on success and risks and escalate critical issues appropriately.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

2-3 years of related experience in data/file management is required.

2-3 years of experience with file/data management utilizing Microsoft SQL Server is required.

Experience working with large data sets and/or high volumes is required.

Strong communication skills are required.

Must be capable of running processes related to file/data and campaign execution processes.

Database marketing industry experience is a plus.

Experience with SSIS, .NET, and/or Python is a plus.

Experience with BI/reporting tools is a plus (Crystal Reports preferred).

Experience with address standardization and merge/purge is preferred, using tools

such as First Logic.

Must be able to concentrate and perform accurately

Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills along with the ability to multitask and attention to detail.

Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines.

Must be able to work independently and within a team.

Attend and participate in regular status meetings

The availability to be on-call, as required by the account/team, and work nights and weekends as needed is required.

Experience with MS Office tools required.

Little to no travel required
