The CNC Programmer will be responsible for generating 4 and 5 axis machining programs for new product lines, set-up procedures, first article run-offs and operating training. In this role you will need to be self-motivated, meet day to day short term objectives, and have the ability to resolve issues through immediate action or short term planning. Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will:

  • Perform CNC programming utilizing machine controls and/or Uni-Graphics vs6 and
    7.5, Vericut 7 verify program
  • Develop tooling solutions, as needed, both cutting tools and fixturing
  • Use state-of-the-art manufacturing concepts, including just-in-time, statistical process control and employee involvement concepts
  • Be involved in solving manufacturing and quality issues utilizing root cause and analysis tools and implementing correct actions
  • Assist with operator training initiatives and participate in development of operator training programs
  • Support the manufacturing engineers and CNC machining operations to cover the CNC program needs of new products, new machines, and daily production
  • Determine and formalize technological parameters through CNC programs and participate in the CNC program archiving process
  • Ensure full documentation with CNC path, featuring and tooling information
  • Contribute new ideas and positive support to the current process by implementing productivity
  • Ensure CNC program downloading-uploading to the machines
  • Optimize CNC programs for cycle time reductions Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University (or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 additional years of CNC programming experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience

  • Ability and willingness to work multiple shifts as required Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.   • Ability to read and understand CNC machine code (M and G code programming)
  • Machine probing programming skills and variable machine parameter utilization
  • Technical writing ability particularly in the area of methods and written instructions in the programs
  • Knowledge in CNC Machines, programming language for Siemens 840D, Fanuc, Renishaw probing
  • Ability to work independently and as a contributing team player
  • Six Sigma training (GE employees only)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

    GE Aviation Engine Services Tri-Remanufacturing, Inc. is a component repair facility that primarily repairs honeycomb seal rings and segments for jet aircraft engines.
