Deskside Support Specialist (Secret Clearance)

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Deskside Support Technician to join our Client inCrane, IN.

Possession of or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is required as a condition for employment. An active Secret Clearance is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

- Desktop support technician position supporting Government contract PC's running Windows XP and Windows 7.

Job Qualifications:

- A college degree is not required, though having a degree in a related field would be beneficial.
- Prior experience supporting customers in a military environment are preferred.
- Potential candidate should be very familiar with both operating systems and have significant experience in the IT field with prior employers.
- An IT Support background is a must
- Final Secret or better clearance (interim clearance is not sufficient).
- Security + Certified
- Advanced Active Directory Knowledge and Experience.
- Advanced Knowledge and Experience with Microsoft products (specifically XP and Windows 7 Operating Systems).
- Advanced Knowledge of a "Commercial Off The Shelf" (COTS) ticketing system (preferably Remedy or Heat). Please note that all technicians will be trained on HP Service Manager (SM7) for incident reporting.
- Knowledge of Common Access Card (CAC).
- Knowledge of Navy customer and Military Rank (prior NMCI experience is a plus, prior military experience is helpful).
- Knowledge of printers (network and stand-alone, multiple vendors and types).
- Exceptional customer support skills.
- Able to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Able to work autonomously (with minimal direction).
- Able to quickly identify and resolve issues and follow set escalation paths when/if required
- Must have reliable Personally Owned Vehicle (POV) available for transportation to and from job site (roughly 30 minute drive from Bloomington, IN; 45 minutes from Bedford; 1 hour from Ellettsville; 1.5 hours from Indianapolis), and for use during the course of the position on site to get from bldg. to bldg. (site is roughly 100 sq. miles with over 180 miles of roads, though most bldgs. are within a ½ mile to 5 mile distance from the office.
- Additional requirements to be defined by the hiring manager as required to support the contract.
