JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Software Engineer will have responsibilities for the following:

- Analyze and understand the current environment and work through existing issues in applications. This will include troubleshooting existing system issues, creating reports, debugging code, writing custom queries, and developing missing core functionality.
- Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new data processing applications or revisions to existing systems.
- The position will include maintenance of current systems and will expand into gathering requirements and creating a project plan to upgrade current systems into Web applications. This includes utilization of best-practice industry processes and methodologies for life-cycle software from scope and requirements gathering, programming, testing and deployment.
- Diagnostics and analysis of software problems, analysis of related systems, identification of potential impacts.

Qualifications:
SECURITY CLEARANCE:

- Candidate must be U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

EDUCATION/SKILLS:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or Computer Technology and 1+ year related experience desired. OR
- High school diploma and 5+ years experience in software development.
- ASP.NET 3.5/4.0 with Web Forms and MVC, MS SQL SERVER 2008/2012, VB.NET, HTML, CSS, Javascript, XML.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- SSIS, IIS 6/7, Adobe XFA Forms, Access 2007/2010, Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Active Directory.
- Experience working in a Navy or DoD environment.
- Implement and support traditional Client Server and web based applications and services.
