This position reports to the AIG Benefit Solutions Chief Pricing Actuary and will manage a small actuarial team. In this highly visible position, you will have regular interaction with senior management across our organization.

In this leadership position, your primary focus will be Group Life and Accident products, with occasional work supporting other products, such as Universal Life. This includes development of pricing strategies, assumption development, experience monitoring, state filings and close collaboration with the product team on product design. Additionally, you will be working closely with teams of underwriters to provide case specific support and develop best in class risk assessment tools.

Performance Objectives

Lead pricing and profitability management efforts for Group Life, AD&D and BTA portfolios, including pricing strategies, development of assumptions, experience monitoring, product development and underwriting support.

Interface with other functional areas such as sales, underwriting, product, administration, legal, compliance, and marketing to ensure effective and timely implementation of initiatives and pricing strategies.

Lead development and implementation of pricing, rating and risk assessment tools.

Support product maintenance/management as needed as well as maintain department documentation of products and processes.

Support development of operating plans and financial product reviews.

Develop a highly effective and engaged team.

Position Requirements
Position Requirements
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries with at least 10 years of actuarial experience with at least 3 years of Group Employee Benefits Life or Disability pricing experience.

Must be proactive, motivated and challenge status quo.

Proven experience coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously, leading others, and managing the completion of assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis.

Comfort with ambiguity and constant change.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to others in a clear, focused, and concise manner.

Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in an environment of constant change.
Strong understanding of pricing concepts.
