TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING INTERN

Position Description

As a Technology Consulting Intern at McGladrey, you will work with mid-sized businesses in diverse industries and receive hands-on client experience with direct access to executive management. Working on numerous projects per year, you will work on several pieces of any particular assignment -- not just one small part -- and you will feel a great sense of accomplishment when you are done.

Depending on your interest and course of study, this internship opportunity could you lead you to work with one of our many technology consulting groups.

Business Solutions Intern

Responsibilities:

- Provide day-to-day technical application support for client companies
- Install and configure ERP and CRM applications in client environments.
- Perform technical upgrades of ERP and CRM applications to the latest version for clients.
- Work closely with clients in the design and deployment of new systems
- Perform and manage system integrations and assist implementation teams with end user training

Basic Qualifications
- Major in MIS, IT or Computer Science
- Ability to travel to client sites and willingness to be on the road for up to a week at a time for new client deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Additional major or minor in Accounting is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Client focused
- Ability to multitask

Network Solutions Intern

Responsibilities include:

- Designing and installing network infrastructures, including equipment, servers, personal computers and software at client sites
- Providing day to day technical support from workstations to servers
- Consulting with clients about technology enhancements
- Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications
- Major in IT or related field
- Ability to travel to client sites and willingness to be on the road for up to a week at a time for a new client deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with the following technologies:
- o Microsoft Networking and Email (Active Directory and Exchange)
- o Storage Area Networking (SAN)
- o Virtualization (VMWare and Citrix)
- o Cisco Networking
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team
- Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Client focused
- Ability to multitask
