Assurance - Audit Manager - Government

Position Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an Assurance Manager in Davenport IA with Government experience to impact the future growth of our Midwest practice. The Audit Manager will be responsible for:

Primary Responsibilities:-Managing existing audits.
-Keeping abreast of latest developments and the firm's standards and policies.
-Keeping abreast of industry developments and their effects on client's competitive position.
-Anticipating and addressing client concerns and resolving problems as they arise.
-Promoting new ideas and business solutions that result in extended services to existing clients.
-Managing the client relationship.
-Managing the timely delivery of the work product.
-Performing a review of all work papers, reports and other deliverables to ensure compliance with the firm's policies and professional standards.

Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have manager level experience within a public accounting firm and have expertise in all aspects of external audit and engagement management.

To be considered, candidates must have:

-5+ years experience in public accounting working in audit with a focus on Governmental clients
-Thorough knowledge of audit and attest services with knowledge of FASB and GASB regulations, GAAS, and GAAP.
-A Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
-Active CPA license
-Ability to travel
-A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
-Experience serving medium to large clients
