Currently, we have an immediate need for a Business Intelligence Developer with solid SSIS, SSRS, MS SQL, Database Design for reporting and market knowledge. Also, the right candidate would have a broad background in the design, development and maintenance of various forms of databases, data management, reporting analytics, and related Business Intelligence technologies. What you need for this position:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline or 5+ years of experience in software development
- Technical proficiency using Microsoft based BI technologies such as SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and 3rd party add-ons.
- Solid experience and knowledge in designing and delivering Business Intelligence and/or data warehousing solutions.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse, data mart and database technologies, standards, and methodologies.
- Must be able to write detailed requirements documentation, test plans, and project work estimates.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Must be able to manage multiple requests at the same time.
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills within a technical environment.
What you'll be doing:
- Work with development team to design solutions to achieve corporate goals using the SSRS, SSAS, and MS SQL related technologies.
- Provide input and help guide the overall corporate BI and Data Warehouse initiative.
- Lead database design discussions with business unit managers and developers to define BI requirements to solve the specified projects goals.
- Document and implement new designs using the MS SQL BI stack and other tools.
- Design and Implement ETL processes for BI dbs.
- Work with third parties to design and implement data sharing processes using ETL and SSIS.
- Work with other IT staff to monitor and address any degraded performance in BI applications, propose and implement solutions for performance improvement.
- Work with various business units to help them define requirements for KPIs and various other reporting needs.
- Work with the test engineering teams to automate testing of both software and hardware devices using the data warehouse.
- Communicate problems, and solutions to those problems to IT team members, and other employees.
