Description:
The person filling this critical position will be held accountable for the selection, implementation, and support of the integration infrastructure and the application and database level support of all systems.
Responsibilities:
- Provide IT technical leadership in the implementation of the Workday platform performing the design/execution of integration activities.
- Lead the team and design the application integration architecture with high reusability and traceability, high performance, high consistency, high reliability and high scalability to support Real Time, publish & subscribe, ETL, and batch design patterns.
- Establish system integration methodology, governance and processes in working with related IT application system stakeholders to define the systems of record and promote the single version of the truth strategy.
- Deliver and manage a set of common services that support platform-wide interfaces, including but not limited to auditing, logging, encryption, error notification, monitoring etc.
- Manage and monitor performance of the company's portfolio of applications and databases and recommend improvements as needed.
- Serve as backup for production support and analysis of ESB services.
- Consolidate and transform the local point-to-point fragmented interfaces to a standard platform and shared data services as systems platforms evolve.
- Experience or solid understanding of database administration and support is required.
- Actively participate and influence the assessment of selected technology solutions to support the integration and production support needs of the organization.
- Assess and develop talent within the team to create new competencies aligned with the IT strategic goals and operational requirements. Set and manage standards of performance applicable to each job function.
- Partner with internal quality assurance personnel to ensure proper testing and change management processes are performed for implementation and future functionality releases of all integrations.
- Partner with business leaders and technical talent to design, select, and implement scalable and effective technology solutions leveraging standard technology platforms both within and outside the systems of direct responsibility.
- Effectively manage projects in terms of scope, resource allocation, change, timeline, budget, etc.
Required Experience:
- 7+ years strong application technical architecture design and development experience using integration technology.
- 3 years + IT management experience especially in the areas of integration development, database administration, and production support (deployments and performance monitoring).
- 3 years + application integration design experience for high volume and Real Time messaging in the large and remote system landscape environment
- Experience with enterprise service bus (ESB) or service oriented architectures (SOA) required.
- Experience with Java, XML, and XSLT programming is required.
- Experience in integrating web, corporate (human capital or financials), supply chain and point-of sale systems especially cloud or software-as-a-service solutions is a plus.
