ABOUT THE PROJECT
GTN Technical Staffing has an urgent need for a strong contract Database Developer opportunity in Irving, TX.  Our client is feeling a deep sense of urgency and will begin conducting technical phone screens ASAP.  The Developer will perform all tasks related to the full life cycle development of software for internal and client use. This includes planning, analysing requirements, designing solutions, developing code and testing software. The development skills must include knowledge and experience in PL/SQL, SQL, and UNIX.  The Developer will provide technical support to Clients, internal and external, to answer questions, solve problems and provide guidance.   The Developer will work according to approved statements of requirements and detailed specifications. The Developer will create technical design documents, codes and unit tests all deliverables. The Developer will work with the Quality Assurance group to support their testing efforts. The Developer will recognize probable interactions of other related programs with the assigned programs and is familiar with related system software and computer equipment. The Developer will resolve problems and deviations according to standard practices, and obtains advice where precedents are unclear or not available. The Developer will apply judgment in devising program logic and in selecting and adapting standard programming procedures.  The Developer will work independently under defined objectives, priorities, and deadlines.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
4+ years with the following skill sets...

• PL/SQL Database Programming
• SQL Programming/Statements/Queries
• SDLC - Full Lifecycle Development

PREFERRED

• UNIX Scripting - Korn/Bash/PowerShell/Shell Scripting
• UNIX Command Line Creation
