As a member of the global GE Capital Working Capital Solutions (WCS) - RTS organization, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to GECARS application, which is the servicing application used by WCS to manage Accounts receivables for GE businesses. You will build subject matter expertise on GECARS application; support the break fixes, review open tickets on a daily basis and resolve them as per SLAs. Essential Responsibilities: Position Responsibilities:
GE Working Capital Solutions has built a patented Accounts Receivable system (GECARS). GECARS consolidates accounts receivable transactions for General Electric Company in a single A/R system. At present GECARS is integrated over 300 clients, holds over $
7.9 billion of AR assets, used by 3500+ users globally, and processes 300,000+ transactions monthly.
As GECARS Support Analyst you will:
- Act as a liaison between IT and local business leaders to share the upcoming GECARS application changes/maintenance and potential business impact related information.
- Maintain regular communication with the local users to get feedback on application performance and end user experience.
- Build functional knowledge of GECARS Online application, related interfaces and manage incidents/service requests to meet business SLAs
- Have in-depth knowledge of GECARS integration process and client setup module in GECARS and maintain the necessary documentation.
- Participate in the integration team meetings
- Report incidents status to the Senior leadership team on a regular basis
- Look for process improvement opportunities to reduce the open tickets volume
- Provide ongoing post deployment support.
- Ensure proper Knowledge transfer and RTS handoff happens to the RTS support team on the new GECARS integrations Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor Science Degree
- Minimum 1 year of experience in support role
- Minimum 2 years of experience in developing large scale web applications ( preferably .NET
3.5 or higher).
- Exceptionally strong knowledge in .net framework, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle RDBMS and good exposure to the version control tools.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge in ITIL processes
- Effective communication, good Analytical and Problem solving skills Additional Eligibility Qualifications: GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. - Bachelor Science Degree in Computer Software Engineering or Computer Science
- Domain knowledge of either accounting and/or financial applications in the accounts receivable module.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/Ajax, Web Services, ASP, Microfocus COBOL, VB, UC4 and Unix scripting
- Good understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Understanding of architectural and design principals and methodologies, including: OOA, OOD, service oriented architecture, n-tier architecture.
- Experience working with offshore support resources.* Able to work well independently with minimum supervision
