Intermediate Java Developer/Analyst

Project Summary
This technical position will be working for a strategic client of CGI in the Corporate and Investment Banking Industry in Jersey City, NJ.

Scope of the project involves development services in the prime Brokerage Securities Lending and Equities Domain. This includes new functionalities, regulatory projects and other enhancements. Project is executed in a global delivery model including business center in NY, offshore team and other stakeholders located globally

- Domain Prime Brokerage Involves understanding of products in equities, securities, securities lending, basket of equities/synthetics )
- Project maintenance, enhancements, regulatory projects
- Need to have good analytical skills and should be able to understand the BRDs(Business requirement documents) provided by business
- Need to have good ability to understand the systems and provide the impacted functional spec/tech spec
- Will be working along with the QA team to help them understand the changes and come with testing scenarios.
- Should be able to guide the dev team in coming with design document (BAs will also pitch in when required).
- Should be very good in communication and be able to work independently.
- Corporate Brokerage domain experience is preferred.
- More than 8 years of experience as FA with good knowledge in Capital Markets especially on Investment Banking, Legal and Compliance
- Good Knowledge on Products/securities, trade compliance, trade life cycle. Awareness of products such as Mantas, Actimize, Norc om
- Experience and knowledge on various Regulatory Environment and Industry practices awareness SEC, Legal, Dodd Frank, BASEL, etc

Essential Skills Required:
- 7-8 + years experience
- Sybase preferred ( or any other database experience like Oracle, MS Sql Server )
- Development + Maintenance
- Design and Solution capabilities in addition to coding, programming
- Good communication to interface with the client and support offshore communication
