Senior Cognos Developer

This technical position will be working for a strategic client of CGI in the Corporate and Investment Banking Industry.

Scope of the project involves development services in the Private Wealth and Asset Management domain. This includes new reports, BI functionality, regulatory projects and other enhancements. Project is executed in a global delivery model including an offshore team in India

This role is a hands-on technical role with an expectation to play a consulting/technical lead role including guiding client and offshore team

Essential Skills Required

- 10 + years' experience

- Senior Cognos BI Consultant

- Cognos 10 version ideally. Other versions Cognos 8

- Consulting services to include a pilot implementation on TM1 ( budgeting, forecasting ), DQM, Dashboards

- Design and Solution capabilities in addition to coding, programming

- In addition to consulting on-going guidance, thought leadership to the development team offshore

- Good communication to interface with the client and support offshore communication ( technical, there will be an offshore project manager )

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelor's Degree

Candidate should have strong Cognos and Business Intelligence skills, good communication skills both written and verbal. Candidates should have the ability to take a consultative approach to problem solving, along with the ability to recommend proactive solutions.
