ERP Support Specialist

The Support Specialist reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for first level investigations, escalation and resolution delivery for issues within company's ERP system - Microsoft Dynamics GP, and WMS - ASCTrac. Primary responsibility for user account management and security setup and maintenance for these systems are additional responsibilities. With direction from management, second level support specialists and system analysts the system support specialist answers inquiries from system users. Is trained on causes and supports resolutions to the end user. Duties will also including the training of users, testing of the systems with the IT Quality Assurance testing team and contribution to training and testing documentation writing for these systems.
Responsibilities:
-Works with the end users to define and investigate system issues. Perform write-up of the issue with resolutions and track system issues within a log file.
-Resolve issues based upon standard operating procedures established within the department.
-Fully document new issues and report the details to management, support specialists and system analysts.
-Work in conjunction with the IT Quality Assurance testing team on testing; including but not limited to supporting the writing of training and testing documentation and support in training end users.
-User account management, setting up approved users and removing users from the system when necessary.
-User account security, using guidelines provided by the system analysts create and maintain security classes with each of the systems.
-Support effective streamlining processes to improve end user productivity.
-Apply both technical skills and business training to solve issues.
-Leverage advanced skills and knowledge to succeed as the system support specialist.
Qualifications:
-Experience supporting an ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.)
-Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Excellent documentation and knowledge management skills.
-Candidate should be a self-starter, hands on, do whatever it takes personality.
-Ability to provide clear and concise communication of issues to management.
-Ability to function efficiently in a fast paced, high stress, results oriented environment.
-Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
-3-5 years experience in working with software support help desk and users, diagnosing issues and providing resolutions.
-Experience in healthcare, warehouse management systems or related industry a plus.
-Experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP and related third party programs a plus.
