We are currently seeking a self motivated techno-functional consultant with overall 6+ years of Oracle and PL/SQL and tax-related configuration experience in Order Management, Purchasing and Financial modules. The consultant will work closely with Thomson Reuters consulting team in the US and also with our client's project team to implement enterprise tax software at various sites that involves integration of Oracle with Determination. The consultant is required to travel as part of their job responsibilities primarily within continental US and sometimes abroad. The consultant will act as Oracle integration SME during the various stages of a tax automation project with Thomson Reuters' suite of products. The consultant is also required with Thomson Reuters' partners to implement our products successfully.

The Oracle Financials Senior Consultant is responsible for managing new customer engagements including installation, design, integration, testing, configuration and production cut-over and support of the Thomson Reuters Solution and Thomson Reuters Connection. These engagements are charged either on a fee-for-service or fixed fee basis. Will coordinate activities of other resources (eg Business Systems Analyst, Engineers, etc) assigned by Thomson Reuters management. Also may indirectly manage resources assigned to the project by the customer or its designated partner.

The position also pursues on-going customer satisfaction with existing installed base customers as assigned. This position may also be given accountability for certain internally driven projects including projects eg enhancing existing methodologies, developing new implementation toolkits, establishing new customer support protocols etc. The incumbent is responsible to meet revenue and utilization metrics as defined by management.

There is a 40-50% travel requirement for the position.

Receives no direction on routine and general problem solving issues. Incumbent has highest technical level of product and Oracle knowledge; may perform as an advisory-level product support specialist on complex projects. May also perform customization and design work on complex applications.

Analyze Oracle code and come up with creative design and solution to augment our solution.

Provide status report to Project Managers.

Qualifications
- Masters or Bachelors degree in any Engineering stream preferably Computer Science or Electrical.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
- Must have experience in consulting or supporting clients in the US or Europe - either over conference calls or in-person
- Must be able to demonstrate analytical/critical thinking
- Must have 5+ years of developing SQL and PL/SQL programs for OM, AR, PO and AP.
- Must have 5+ years of experience of supporting or implementing for OM, AR, PO and AP with basic functional configurations.
- Must have solid understanding of O2C (order to cash) and P2P (procure to pay) business processes and related Oracle R12/R11i configurations from a tax perspective
- Must have basic functional knowledge in Oracle Ebtax.
- Must be skilled in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
- Must have experience creating and executing test cases and test scripts for Oracle Autoinvoice Process.
- Experience working with clients to determine transaction tax requirements (VAT), particularly with enterprise financial solutions is highly desired.
- Experience with integrating third party enterprise tax products (eg Determination, Taxware and/or Vertex) is highly desired
- Must be able to travel within US. 40% travel is expected. International travel is not required at this time.
- Must be proficient in database SQL tuning.
- Must have 5+ experience in Oracle Concurrent Program design and development and in AOL technology.
- Must have experience in deploying Java pages using OA framework.
Desired Skills
- Database administration and database tuning.
- Experience in developing enterprise-class Java/XML programs is preferred; using JDeveloper.
- Experience in deploying and maintaining Java-based software program in Application Servers, such as WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss is a plus
- IT infrastructure administration experience around database, network, and application server, including performance tuning, is a plus
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting using any Shell of choice.
- Knowledge of Oracle Fusion and its architecture.
- O2C or P2P certifications in Oracle R12.
