Lead Network Architect/Engineer
Link Technologies is currently looking for a Lead Network Architect for a contract to hire opportunity in Las Vegas, NV. This position is working with Architecture, Design and Implementation. POSITION SUMMARY
Oversight of enterprise strategies for networking infrastructure. Ensures a comprehensive strategy across technical boundaries, and coordinates the design and implementation of and evolving technical architecture. The Lead Network Architect works closely with the other team members to review technical designs and provide technical direction. This person collaborates with other architects and engineers from other disciplines and third-party vendors to ensure the best comprehensive design for the environment. This person may also assist or direct the resolution of complex technical problems.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Design and implementation of large scale enterprise networks.
- Design and implementation of multicast video networks.
- Experience with Cisco networking products and implementation in an enterprise network architecture.
- Experience with Cisco security products and implementation in an enterprise network architecture.
- Working knowledge of wireless technologies such as WiFi.
- Self-motivated and result-oriented, good team player.
- Strong written and verbal skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Project/process orientated
- Ability to visualize virtual designs and concepts and then implement them correctly.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Project and other MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
- Must be able to work in the United States.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- A four year degree and 10 years' experience in the computing field required, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- 5 Years demonstrable experience with the design, installation and support of Cisco enterprise network equipment.
- 5 years demonstrable experience in the design, implementation and support of DHCP in an enterprise environment.
- Working knowledge in the use of Wireshark or similar network diagnostic tools.
- Working knowledge of managed WiFi solutions from Cisco, Ruckus or Aruba.
- Working knowledge of network security products from Cisco or equivalent.
PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Working knowledge of IP over Coax technologies such as MoCA, DOCSIS, CMTS, Hybrid Fiber/Coax cable plants.
- Working knowledge of IP Video distribution in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with Ericsson Mediaroom IPTV platform.
WORKING CONDITIONS

- 40 Hour Full-Time
