We are seeking highly motivated, high energy individuals for armed and unarmed positions. Candidates must be able to provide documentation of successful completion of either police or corrections academy training, or equivalent training. For applicants who hold no such certification, they must have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces as Military Police, and can provide verification of such via a Member Four DD214. Candidates must be able to interact with the public, visitors, contractors and client in a friendly, professional, proactive manner; and must be capable of patrolling interior and exterior grounds on foot and in vehicles (for certain positions). Excellent written and electronic documentation are a must, as well as clear verbal articulation and de-escalation skills. Currently holding an armed or unarmed Nevada PILB work card is a plus.
All new applicants must present required documents to be considered for these posts:
* Valid photo ID, or NV driver's license (for driving posts)
* Police or Corrections Academy Credentials or M4 DD214
* Social Security Card
* PILB Work Card (if you hold one)
* Either:
o 10 years verifiable work history (obtained from Social Security office)
o HS diploma or GED
Security Officer Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Demonstrates a passion for customer service, and comfort and ability in assisting with large crowds.
- Positive, approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance in challenging situations.
- Ability to withstand inclement weather as well as ability to:
- Sit, stand, walk and/or work in-, out-doors up to 8 hours per day.
- Perform bike patrols up to 8 hours per day (for bike posts)
- Must carry valid Nevada driver's license w/3-year clear MVR (for driving posts).
- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard.
- Adherence to company/client appearance and uniform standards.
Additional Qualifications for Armed Security Officers:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have experience working in an armed capacity within the last two years.
- Must possess knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention and Use of Force Wheel.
- Must carry and maintain proper firearms training and credentials.
- Must have the ability, and will, to use deadly force, if a situation requires.
Basic Job Responsibilities (un/armed):
- Proactively patrol client properties.
- Provide a highly visible security presence to help deter criminal activity and violation of the client's code of conduct, reacting promptly to address unacceptable behavior.
- Seek opportunities to interact with client, customers, visitors, etc. Be friendly, helpful and attentive to enhance their experience at the property.
- Remain alert to identify potential safety hazards, mitigate found hazards, and notify the client of conditions of concern.
Respond to, investigate, and write reports on all incidents and accidents including medical emergencies, fires, alarms, bomb threats, etc. in accordance with the client's Operating Procedure Manual.
