The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Technician for our Critical Infrastructure Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Position Summary
The Critical Infrastructure Associate technician will have front-line responsibility in deploying critical infrastructure projects, executing planned maintenances, and responding to emergency events across Time Warner Cable's facilities in the Kentucky market. Candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and vendor management skills while showing competency in traditional critical facility infrastructure including: HVAC, electrical distribution, uninterruptable power systems (UPS's), DC Plants, generators, fire suppression systems, monitoring systems, and other datacenter systems. The CI Associate Tech will be comfortable being the first-responder to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues with the aforementioned systems at various TWC facilities.

Essential Job Functions:
- Preventative Maintenance: CI Associate Tech will travel between facilities and provide access, supervise, and follow-up with vendors performing maintenance activities.
- Capable of understanding and executing detailed Method of Procedures (MOP's)
- Capable of working night shifts and supervising electrical, mechanical and other types of maintenances
- First response: CI Associate Tech will diagnose alarms via the building management system (Foreseer) and if necessary respond to the alarm situation and coordinate vendors for restoration.
- Respond to alarms and issues in off-hour situations based on on-call schedule
- Troubleshoot and analyze: Ability to think through complex situation in a datacenter critical enviornment
- Audit: Maintain CI equipment asset database, Collect electrical readings, calculate capacities and make recommendations when appropriate to upgrade equipment
- Document: Provide updates to NOC during events, provide capacity reports to management, update MOP's, review vendor service reports

Job Requirements:

- Candidate will have solid understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, generators, UPS's, DC Plants, fire systems, and other critical equipment.
- Experience in facilities management or datacenter technician at critical datacenter facilities and/or experience working in similar environments as a service technician.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors performing maintenance or upgrade work on systems installed in a technology operations environment
- Experience with tools such as voltmeter, ammeter, IR camera and anemometer
- General knowledge of regulatory laws, requirements, codes, and rules
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet skills
- A valid driver's license as candidate will operate a company vehicle
- Flexible work hours include off-hours availability during on-call times and emergencies

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma and secondary technical school or Associate's Degree required.
Trade Certifications around HVAC, electrical, and safety preferred

Education and Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirements:
Yes Travel % 80 in local area

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
No Supervisory responsibilities with this position.

Physical Demands:

This position requires ability to work in a datacenter, electrical and mechanical rooms, and on construction sites. Requires the ability to work on items such as batteries, electrical panels, air conditioners etc. as necessary.
