Job Description:

The IT LAN Administrator will ensure there is a consistent approach to the technical operational delivery of desktop and other IT infrastructure related to Acton Marketing/Deluxe locations.
Accountabilities:
- Create/maintain Active Directory users and computers. Adheres to protocols and best practices to perform routine maintenance, upgrades, updates, and patches on networks, and desktop operating systems and hardware.
- Set up and maintain the Company's internal Servers including hardware and software including provisioning IT access to various IT environments.
- Troubleshooting hardware such as desktops, servers, routers, Switches and network interface cards. Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including TCP/IP and wireless technologies.
- Maintains a secure environment by implementing virus protection, spyware strategies that protects workstations and remote access users against potential virus infection.

- Represents Acton Marketing/Deluxe professionally to competitors, customers, suppliers, professional colleagues and employees. Keeps abreast of technology, industry, consumer, customer, legal developments or trends that may impact the Company. Maintains a high standard of personal professionalism.
- Ensure proper maintenance is conducted, repair and replacement plans are executed and all assets are licensed, registered, tagged and tracked.
- Supports and optimizes key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems.
Required:
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent in computer science
- 1-3 years relevant work experience in IT Support
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Technology (Windows XP,Windows 7, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 operating systems, Office 2007. 2010)
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN environments and protocols (ip addressing, netmask, dhcp server, domain controller )
- Ability to self -manage, both from the technical and procedural points of view, ensuring all key activities are completed and timelines met
- Great people skills with excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork ability
- Ability to manage high pressure situations and deal with challenging issues
- Self-interest to keep abreast with technology and industry best practices
- Good integrity, able to keep confidential information private
Preferred:
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare)
