Description

Key Role:
Provide consulting services to commercial clients to assist with their understanding of various federal IT certification processes, including Common Criteria, FIPS 140-2, and the Unified Capabilities-Approved Product List. Interact with developers to gain an understanding of product capabilities, assess these capabilities against certification requirements, and recommend corrective actions, where applicable. Conduct testing of commercial products in accordance with defined standards and best practices. Communicate and justify findings with clients and reviewers. This position is located in Linthicum, MD.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:-2+ years of experience with Common Criteria or FIPS 140-2 testing-2+ years of experience with system and application penetration testing-Experience with applying abstract security requirements, including NIST 800-53 controls to information systems-Experience with Linux and Windows system administration-Experience with network administration using Cisco IOS or Juniper JUNOS-Top Secret-BA or BS degree-CEH, CISSP, GPEN, GWAPT, or GXPN Certification

Additional Qualifications:-Experience in a consulting environment-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint-Experience with Scripting languages or automated testing-Knowledge of cryptography and networking concepts-Ability to solve problems by conducting independent research-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-BA or BS degree in CS, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
