Senior SSIS Developer/SQL Server DBA - Our Information Technology team is seeking an experienced database professional to direct the efforts to insure that our mission critical SQL Server SAN environment operates efficiently to meet existing and new business requirements and architectural specifications. This position is part of the Solutions Architecture team supporting all databases (SQL Server and Oracle).

What you need for this position:
The successful candidate must have:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator, working directly with SQL Server handling 2- 10+ TB databases
- SQL Server 2005 Certification or higher
- Experience in the use of Windows Clustering/Networking, Partitioning and indexing
- Strong knowledge in the use of SQL Server Tools/utilities: DTS/SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, Encryption
- Advanced skills, including a disaster recovery background, on the Microsoft platform and VM technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of platform specific advanced database features such as SQL clustering, database encryption, transactional replication, database mirroring, log shipping
- Full life cycle experience surrounding large scale data management solutions
- Experience with Oracle technology is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of SAN attached storage, Windows Server 2003 and 2008, - Windows clustering, Active Directory authentication, and IP, TCP, and UDP networking infrastructure
- Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
What you'll be doing:
- Help manage a complex production database environment which includes over a half dozen production SQL Server SAN systems, plus additional non production instances/systems
- Coordinate with other managers to integrate with projects, applications and/or initiatives.
- Provide database and SQL Tuning expertise through recommendations to application developers, vendors and other core Application teams
- Perform SQL Server database capacity planning and performance monitoring
- Manage the storage environments for the SQL Server databases, including planning for additional storage, maintaining optimal sizing, monitoring space, and providing growth statistics.
- Create and execute SQL Server backup and recovery policies, and maintain integrity and reliability of access to information.
- Troubleshoot database issues including collecting information through traces and other logging facilities
