*We're looking for a Junior Unix Administrator for a great contract opportunity!* This is a Contract to Hire position.
OVERVIEW
- Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external Unix Servers
- Develops and maintains all systems, applications, security, and server configurations
- Troubleshoots server performance issues and creates and maintains a disaster recovery plan
- Recommends upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
- Provides technical support and guidance to users
- Assists in the development and maintenance of server communications
- Uses knowledge of server systems to help design and install internal and external networks
- Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
- Works under general supervision
QUALIFICATIONS
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Adequate experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude required.
This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
