Job Description
At Yum! Brands our customers are using technology as a part of their everyday activities to connect and communicate with our Brands. Yum! Brands is looking for a talented and creative Senior Manager of Unified Communications (UC) to be an integral part of driving value through the use of technology. As a member of the YUM! Brands Global IT team, the position will provide architectural guidance for all UC platforms and will work directly with customers throughout all Divisions/Functions within Yum! Brands to identify key business processes and use cases to be improved through the use of UC technology. Essential to success in this role is being able to understand business processes and creatively apply and articulate how technology can improve how we work. This position is also responsible for coaching and developing technical personnel into future leaders. The UC components include: Email, Instant messaging, Conferencing, Voice over IP, Unified Messaging, Call Centers for Helpdesks, High Definition Video and integration with other unified communication components for the US, Yum! Restaurants International (YRI), India and China.

Strategic:

    - D evelop an effective vision that considers technical innovation, business strategy, consumer touch points, risk, and affordability
    - Develop supporting business cases for new technologies and initiatives to communicate business benefits to senior management and across functions. Create inspirational presentations to communicate benefits
    - Update technology roadmaps to guide execution of projects, timing and resources
    - Develop relationships to drive results with peers, external partners and customers. Maintain a close working relationship with brand IT teams, YRI and China to define technology objectives to meet business requirements
    - Sustain on-going knowledge of IT industry trends to assess impact for future strategies
    - Lead career growth and training plans for team members
    - Develop defining criteria matrix, standards and policies to be utilized globally
    - Apply creative thinking skills to solve challenging business issues and gain alignment with peers and cross-functional teams

Tactical:

    - Proven ability to measure success against defined criteria and objectives
    - Provide escalation support to complex cross-functional issues to ensure reduced system downtime
    - Recommend process improvements and procedural changes for preventative maintenance and policies
    - Ability to lead large enterprise-wide projects. Must display a high degree of proficiency in project management techniques, including time estimates, resource allocations, project status updates and managing critical path and milestone deadlines.
    - Inspire others - Influential leadership of personnel and teams to accomplish goals a must
    - Develop and adapts plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
    - Manage and influence vendors to resolve issues and implement new technologies
    - Negotiate and drive approval process for contracts or statements of work
    - Create and manage RFPs process
    - Manage budget, lease decisions, billing and other financial elements

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
Bachelor Degree required
MBA preferred

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):
    - M inimum 10 years progressive experience in Information Technology field
    - 5 -10 years people management experience. A passion for growing people.
    - A change leader with a proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies, along with a passion for new and emerging technologies and their applicability to business goals.
    - Excellent presentational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to distill technical material down into a message that can be understood across the enterprise.
    - In-depth knowledge of Unified Communications technologies, including messaging, voice and video technologies
    - In-depth knowledge of cloud services, SaaS strategies including Microsoft Office 365
    - 5 years of project management experience required that includes managing cross functional teams to accomplish the initiative
    - Very strong planning, organization and time management skills
    - Capable of working independently and in Matrix team environments with minimal guidance on almost any assignment within work area
    - Experience managing and influencing vendors and consultants
    - Ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
    - Strong leader, able to ramp up and add value quickly
    - Collaborates easily with direct reports, other peers and senior leadership
    - Some global travel and/or short-term or permanent assignments possible
