- Manages overseas team of software and electrical engineers

- Meets customers to define user needs and for product validation

- Leads software/electronics design projects from Initial concept stage through final shipment release.

- Manages project plans, including timelines.

- Conducts brainstorming and design review meetings to develop and evaluate software design

- Participates in the integration of software features on target hardware platforms.

- Performs Risk Analysis evaluation and develop mitigation strategies

- Oversees software testing requirements, testing and implementation of design test fixtures to assist with product verification.

- Oversees regulatory/design history documents for projects

- Management of entire engineering change life cycle.

- Tracks projects progress and reports status and issues to R&D Director.

- Remains up-to-date on latest software development technologies and methodologies.

- Participates in continuous process improvement activities and initiatives.

- Oversees creation of Maintainability/Serviceability Plan.

- Drives validation activities related to the product.

- Aware of Embedded systems product development life cycle.

WORK EXPERIRIENCE REQUIRED

- 8 years of software/electrical product development experience in the medical device industry
SKILLS REQUIRED

- Strong people management skills

- Must excel in high pressure environments with aggressive deadlines

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

- Experience in algorithm development, web applications and powered tools a plus

- Experience with overseas development teams a plus

BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Qualifications/Work Experience: Percent Travel Required: 20%
