The IT Systems Analyst is expected to keep his/her work and information confidential due to the nature of the data. The IT Systems Analyst provides computer programming services for the division of University Relations. This position is responsible for developing new computer applications, writing code to query necessary information, while providing technical and customer service support to the staff using reporting database system. This position is responsible for establishing close relationships with liaison clients and/or departments to independently manage revolving requests which includes clarifying requests, assisting staff in determining their needs, creating and updating views and reports and serving as point of contact for assigned departments' reports and projects; managing the unit's data ticketing system and; use existing Business Intelligence tools to assist clients with their data analysis needs as well as assisting in maintenance and upgrades to SSRS reports, SSAS cubes, and SSIS utilities.

The IT Systems Analyst develops and provides data reports to the management staff on ad hoc, periodic, and consistent basis. This position provides University Relations staff and other authorized requestors with information needed to effectively further the University's advancement efforts, including tabulations of funds raised by date range, fundraising unit, department, development officer, purpose, or instrument; mailing lists produced to requestors specifications; data files for electronic data transfer; prospect lists by geographical area, rating and assignment; all development officer activity by date range; other reports as needed. The position creates reusable parameter-driven reports and manages data for bulk loading into the advancement database.
