Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION: This candidate provides overall network engineering support for a broad range of programs. Including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of network. May evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance current capabilities. Involves complete knowledge of this administrative field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.
The Network Engineer will be responsible for documenting and maintaining Current Network Architecture and Configuration Design Diagrams for each Program network. The candidate will provide and maintain Technical Analysis and Cost Estimate (TACE) for users' engineering requests, a forward looking IT Roadmap with functional enhancements to improve network services, a Network Life Cycle Baseline Support Plan that defines projected network modernization requirements, operations costs, and equipment life cycle replacement costs, and a Capacity Management Plan.
Qualifications
:
Required Skills:
- Minimum of ten (10) years practical experience in a related technical field.
- Four (4) years' experience installing network equipment.
- One (1) year experience designing, preparing and modifying engineering documents and drawings.
- Certification in at least one the following:
- Security+
- Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
- Windows 2007 +
- Exchange 2007+
- Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA)
- Cisco Certified Data Administrator ( CCDA)
- Cisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and infrastructure a plus
- Windows Server 2003 & 2008; Exchange and/or SQL
- Demonstrated experience leading teams in the execution of complex network tasks.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline.
- Must be a US Citizen and have an active Top SECRET or have the ability to be upgraded to a TS/SCI clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MCITP or MCTS.
- IAT Level III Information Assurance (IA) in accordance with DoD 8570.01M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (or achieve within six months).
