Key Role:

Work with government engineers and industry to develop hybrid network solutions for DoD and other Federal agencies. Lead the development of complex communications systems, including design, operational and technical requirements, network engineering, and information assurance. Identify and develop system specifications, performance requirements, and interface design requirements. Serve as the primary author for major deliverables, including system requirements and specifications, system test plans, and test reports. Direct multiple engineering projects and provide consultation and oversight during all phases of implementation. Conduct research and proof of concept testing on the latest state-of-the-art technologies. Act as the primary point of contact with the client, provide support at briefings and design reviews, and work independently in a multitasking environment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
-10+ years of relevant work experience network or systems engineering
-5+ years of experience with data communications network technologies, including VTC and VOIP
-5+ years of experience with using IP routing protocols, including OSPF, RIPv2, and BGP
-5+ years of experience with using LAN switching technologies, including a spanning tree protocol
-1+ years of experience with military and commercial satellite communications systems and network engineering
-1+ years of experience with VOIP and VTC systems design and integration with networks
-1+ years of experience with network security countermeasures, including Firewalls, access control lists, intrusion detection, and encryption devices
-Top Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
