Description
Key Role:
Lead systems security and engineering teams providing support for ongoing operations and planned system upgrades and to address system security, design, and configuration issues that impact operating risks. Support vulnerability reduction for software and hardware components in the Network Operations Center/Security Operations Center (NOC/SOC), Command and Control (C2), and Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) subsystems related to system security hardware and software configuration, vulnerability scanning, and testing. Lead teams performing pre-defined security analysis activities, updating trouble tickets and work orders in Maximo and Remedy, and escalating issues according to standard operating procedures. Manage Tier 1-3 support SOC staff by managing work assignments and determining priorities. Make and implement enhanced security recommendations for improved reliability and integrity. Lead Tier 3 SOC engineers in the analysis of implementation plans, preparation of security design and testing documentation and PCR/ECP documentation, and efforts to enhance security management, as required, to meet new cyber security and vulnerability management requirements and to support transition to new managed hosted service environments.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience with direct IT enterprise security management or administration
-Experience with best-of-breed security operations center (SOC) tools, including ArcSight, Nessus, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Cisco MARS, Cisco Secure Access Control Server, and Microsoft Active Directory
-Experience with using BMC Remedy for service desk operations
-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server
-Secret clearance
-BA or BS degree
Additional Qualifications:
-BA or BS degree in IT, CS, System Engineering, or a related field preferred; MA or MS degree in IT, CS, System Engineering, or a related field a plus
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
