We are searching for an enthusiastic Principal Customer Storage Support Engineer to provide third party remote support to customers and partners across the Nation. This is an on-site and direct hire position with a stable and growing company.
We are looking for someone with some or all of the following background:
- 3 years of TSM support experience required
- 3 years of Linux and Windows Administration and maintenance experience
- Strong system troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong account management skills
- Able to work closely with all levels of customers, internal engineers, and management on complex issues
- Experience with backup applications (TSM, BackupExec, ARCserv, NetBackup, Simpana), Scripting (Perl, shells), Networking and networked storage technologies
What you'll be doing:
- Providing remote support services for our TSM customers, partners and field personnel
- Listening to and understanding customer†s needs and assisting to meet those needs within the required timeframe
- Managing hot customers and escalations
- Developing and implementing customer-specific action plans
- Providing excellent communication externally and internally
- Supporting special programs and projects
- Assisting customers with installations remotely and provide training to customers
- Developing knowledge-based articles
