Description:

Candidate will provide overall Microsoft enterprise level systems planning, design, and engineering support to the United States Air Force. He/She will provide hands on technical support for large and complex problems as well as being a proactive and consultative resource to help our customer plan for the utilization of new technologies and with their preparation for future growth. The candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing, evaluating and advising on methods and techniques to reach their enterprise-level objectives. Based on analysis conclusions and study findings, the successful candidate will draft detailed recommendations on methods, procedures to apply, and alternative methods or means to improve the enterprise-level environment at the US Air Force. Primary responsibilities will also include: Contributing to systems engineering activities, which include one or more of the following: Concept of Operations Formulation, Requirements Definition, Analysis and Engineering, System Architecting, System analysis and design, Interface and Data Architectures, Validation and Verification, System Integration, System & Op. Performance Analysis, Lifecycle Cost Analysis & Estimation, Decision Analysis and Resolution. Receiving assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provide solutions to a variety of problems that may arise, in an expeditious, efficient, and timely manner. Additional duties may also include: Pro-actively seeking opportunities to review solution architecture then implement proposals for improvement, scheduling and completing customer maintenance activities and quality audits, responding to support requests and co-ordinate with support teams where appropriate, ensuring that appropriate technical documentation is in place and readily available, attending and participating in service review meetings as directed and mentoring and assisting in the development of other technical staff.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

Selected candidate must be willing and available for CONUS travel, up to 10% annually.

Qualifications

:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field and six (6+) years of direct experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Broad and deep technology knowledge in systems and network operations and maintenance.

- Extensive experience working within and supporting a Windows-based enterprise environment.

- Familiarity with AD, SQL, SCCM, Windows Clusters, Networking, Security and Architectural design.

- A solid understanding of Networking and Information Security principles

- A Good understanding of the systems development lifecycle

- An Understanding of IT industry working practices/methodologies

- He/She must be a tenacious problem solver, with the ability to work independently and/or to lead teams in the analysis and study of complex technical and operational issues until full resolution.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with great attention to detail.

- Strong relationship building skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Public Trust clearance is required. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
