Test Engineer Electrical Equipment

Our client is the leading industrial automation company seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

OVERVIEW

• Prepares test and diagnostic programs
• Designs test fixtures and equipment
• Completes specifications and procedures for new products
• Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices

QUALIFICATIONS

• Typically requires 5-7 years of experience
• AutoCAD Mechanical and Electrical experience, 1-2 years
• Experience writing C++ or C# test programs, 2-5 years
• NI Teststand, 1+ years
• Ability to read draw and interpret electrical schematics (AutoCAD Electrical, Visio)
• Ability to create Bill of Materials using Microsoft Excel
• Ability to create user guides, installation manuals and equipment specifications in Microsoft Word
• Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software test systems
• Ability to organize documents in the SAP system (will train on SAP with prior experience)
• Responsible for shipping and ordering parts in the SAP system (will train on SAP with prior experience)
• Printed Circuit Board layout of 2-4 layer boards experience desired

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
