Description
Key Role:
Ensure that information systems securely operate according to the security controls documented in the SSP once systems are approved for the production environment. Ensure proper operational security, including assist administrators with operational security compliance in accordance with DCID 6/3, ICD 503, and NIST 800-53, review of system audit logs, review administrator actions and adherence to security policies and regulations, review account activity for administrators, privileged- and- general users, respond to security incidents and events, review and approve proposed changes to system baseline configurations, enforce standard configuration management practices, and perform updates to the SSP and related security documentation. Build strong customer relationships and must be comfortable in a client site setting. This position is located in the Northern VA area.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
-10+ years of experience with information security, penetration testing, or related work
-Experience with DCID 6/3, ICD 503, NIST SP 800-53, and other IC Standards relating to information security
-Experience with server and client technologies, OSI model, and the TCP/IP model
-Experience with security vulnerability assessment tools, including Nessus, WASSP, and SECSCAN and network scanning tools, such as Nessus and Nmap
-Experience with Windows Server 2003 and 2008, Windows Domains, Active Directory, DNS, and GPO's
-Experience with the certification and accreditation process
-Ability to communicate professionally and effectively
-TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required
-BA or BS degree in Communications, CS, Engineering, or Information Assurance
Additional Qualifications:-
Experience with UNIX or Linux, VMware, Incident Handling and Response, Configuration Management, or Log management tools-CISSP, CAP, SANS GSEC or GCIH, CCNA, or Security + Certification
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required.
