As an IT Platform Manager you will be responsible for day to day activities to keep applications running smoothly - both Production and Compliance wise.
Responsibilities:
- Compliance, Risks and Waivers Management - Ensure all the compliance items are addressed and up to date. The Risk and Waivers are identified and documented in the correct system of records and are visible to the right people in management.
- Incident, Problem, Event and Capacity Management - Ensure that all application issues are being dealt with in the right manner, identify problem patterns and escalate as needed to get traction. Generate and/or review Capacity reports and kickoff capacity resolution efforts proactively.
- Platform Health and other Reporting - Compile metrics indicative of platform health utilizing SLA, Incident, Open Waivers and findings, etc data in easy to read format for management. Create, distribute and present Monthly Platform Update (MPU) and Monthly Business Review (MBR) reports.
- TPM and Vendor Management - For applications that are not in-house, work with TPM or directly interface with the vendor to drive efforts.
- Drive BAU Priorities - Help management and leadership understand the top priorities in backlog of BAU items. For eg which risk should be resolved first, the low hanging one or the critical one?
- Run Special Projects - Wear a Project Manager/Tech Lead/Subject Matter Expert (SME) hat as necessary and get the work delivered!
- Audit Support - Be one of the first lines of IT support for internal audits. Gather information from different teams to compile comprehensive answers to repond back to audit's queries. Collaborate with Operations and Business partners for broader questions and concerns. Represent IT in Audit meetings and systematically drive work to get data from different partnering IT teams and vendors.
Your Skills:
- Several years in IT space and a good degree of comfort working with abstract technology items.
- Great Influencing Skills and Team Player. A Platform Manager interfaces with plethora of teams like Development, IPS, RMO, ITO, IS, SACM etc. to get the work done.
- Good Understanding of CapitalOne internal processes like project prioritization, IPS engagement, TOC, Event, Problem and other communications.
- Good understanding of CapitalOne internal tools like CMDB, GRC, Archer, SharePoint, KL etc.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ Years of Production Support experience
- 4+ years of experience in IT Development
Preferred Qualifications:
- MIS/MBA or equivalent degree
- 2+ years of experience as a Team lead or People Manager
- 7+ years of experience in IT Development
- 7+ years of experience in Production Support
