Summary:
The Commercial Strategies Implementation (CSI) Manager is a senior consultant and an individual contributor to the CSI team in solving ambiguous client problems and executing change management initiatives. He or she independently structures and executes required business, financial and data analysis to solve a portion of the overall project and contributes in Real Time problem solving sessions with other members of the project team, internal clients, and executive decision makers. This work supports the implementation of key strategic initiatives within the CML Bank.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Leadership and Management:
- Consult with business partners, with Sr. Manager or Director when needed, to understand complex problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. Includes clarifying and defining project requirements/scope.
- Independently structure and execute required business, financial and data analysis and any necessary research to solve ambiguous client problems.
- Own pieces of a broader high impact project(s) and/or independently manage smaller projects.
- Work with cross-functional project teams to develop and implement recommendations to CML Lines of Businesses. Engage in and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously using strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Manage scope, adapt to changing client environment and business priorities, and adjust scope as needed.
- Manage tactical day-to-day management of project including but not limited to tools and systems for tracking project, reporting status/results, pre-determine schedule, project changes (decisions, priorities, next steps, schedule changes), documentation overall .
- Support timely completion of deliverables, including but not limited to PowerPoint presentations, Excel data models, meeting minutes focused on follow up items and identifying accountable parties based on team analysis of the information obtained from CML (or line of business) clients.
- Leverage project coordinator as needed to deliver.
2. Team Building:
- Perform as a team citizen and help perpetuate the culture of a high performing team.
- Build working team relationships, internal to CSI and with clients. Build credibility with mid-level leaders.
- Expertise Development:
- Develop expertise on departmental processes and procedures through participation in change initiatives and a willingness to learn.
- Participate in team meetings with internal CML stakeholder groups, as needed.
The person will:
- Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project/program efforts
- Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
- Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style
- Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
- At least 3 Years of Project Management experience
- At least 1 Year of People Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters/MBA degree
- At least 5 years of Project Management experience
- At least 3 years of People Management experience
- PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills
