Description:

The Homeland and Civilian Solutions Business Unit is currently searching for an Oracle DBA. This work will be located on a customer site in Memphis, TN. The selected candidate will be responsible with assisting the Customer Data Center in bringing up a new Oracle E-business suite environment for production, test, development and pre-production areas. The customer is placing the new pre-production environment at a Disaster Recovery location. The customer has been utilizing a hosted Oracle environment so the candidate will be responsible for configuration of the newly purchased application infrastructure. The customer is currently upgrading their hosted environment to R12 as part of the move of Oracle back in house. The customer will also be installing Hyperion Public Sector in the spring of 2013.

The selected candidate after the initial configuration of the middle tier Application environments will be responsible for on-going operations, and maintenance of the new EBS R12 environment. Tasking will include Application Server administration essential to the customers and owners of multiple Oracle EBS application modules.
- Application fundamentals such as concepts and architecture
- Application DBA for implementation and support of E-business Suite R12 on 64bit RedHat Linux
- 10gAS10.1 administration and configuration experience
- Analysis and application of Application security and application patches
- Cloning Oracle Application Systems
- Maintaining and managing Concurrent Managers
- Forms/Report Servers installation and support
- Discoverer, workflow, Mail Server installation and support
- Managing Web Servers and Application Server components
- All the EBS administrative utilities. Customizations and code deployment
- Database restrictions for the applications so that the installation is still supportable and conforms to all Oracle requirements.
- Application related regular and maintenance functions such as month end and period end functions.
- Application environment backup and recovery constraints
- Monitoring, Tuning and load balancing of the application Servers
- Printers Configuration and User Access Administration

Knowledge of Hyperion Servers administrative functions also required

The selected candidate will be responsible for the initial configuration of the middle tier Application environments, on-going operations, and maintenance of the new environment. Tasking will include Application Server administration assignments essential to the customers and owners of multiple Oracle database application systems. Assignments are in direct support of these applications and will include Application Servers administration; Hyperion and Discoverer server and concurrent, workflow administration and analysis. Also responsible for the backup and recovery of the applications tier, Scripting of EBS application modules, performance monitoring and tuning, troubleshooting and other standard administrative expertise. The candidate will work closely with Oracle applications staff and DBA to address issues. This position will also backup the DBA for the environments

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in related field and 5 years experience

The selected candidate will have excellent and mandatory Oracle E-business Application skills including experience with performance tuning, and system level troubleshooting, PL/SQL Scripting, Oracle Discoverer and Hyperion administration, implementation, and various other Oracle components and tools expertise. Candidate will ensure and monitor that all tasks are performed in accordance with Oracle administration guidelines, standards and procedures for user acceptance testing and production migration.
