Acclarent, Inc., part of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, is currently recruiting for an IT Manager, Commercial based in Menlo Park, CA.

Acclarent, Inc. is a medical device company in Menlo Park, CA that was established in June of 2004. The company is dedicated to the development of innovative devices providing new technologies to further meet the needs of ENT patients.

Acclarent's initial focus is on achieving the goals of sinus surgery with novel, endoscopic, catheter-based tools - Balloon Sinuplasty devices. Through the Balloon Sinuplasty technology and our Relieva® product portfolio we offer ENT patients another option to conventional endoscopic surgical technologies. FDA clearances for these devices were completed in 2005 and the products were commercially launched in the US that same year.

Through our core technologies and commitment to innovation, Acclarent will continue to advance novel devices in all areas of ENT.

The IT Manager, Commercial will support Acclarent's Sales/Marketing Organization, Filed Sales Tools, Professional Education Program, Health Care Compliance, Contracts, Sales hardware inventory, and Commercial Sales Strategy. The Manager will serve as an IT consultant to the business, lead the planning and coordination IT to support strategic objectives and drive the prioritization of a portfolio of IT initiatives in support of business strategic objectives for Sales and Marketing. The Manager will partner with the Commercial teams to drive Sales mobility solutions following SDLC phased development, as well as oversee major IT programs of a highly complex nature. The scope of the majority of these initiatives is typically business driven.

Principle responsibilities and functions of this position include: Driving strategic initiatives; Portfolio/program management; Vendor management; Resource management; Support of Digital Marketing, Web based initiatives and Mobility Initiatives; Single point of contact for all Commercial related escalations; Defining and implementing process improvements; Identifying, researching and validating innovative solutions while applying the concepts of appropriate methodologies; Creating and overseeing proactive development and execution of integrated business and technology strategies for the Acclarent Commercial Organization; Anticipating and resolving issues/barriers that impede progress; Ensuring and/or developing appropriate methodologies, policies and procedures to deliver business solutions.

The manager will also be responsible for leading, influencing and negotiating to achieve business strategies and system alignment; Tools that deliver results for Acclarent Commercial teams; Understanding the business impact of different solutions and accessing/communicating the tradeoffs between business needs, technology requirements, cost and risk; Providing mentoring, coaching, performance evaluations and development planning to direct reports and junior team members; Participating in the budgeting process and managing project budgets; Exhibiting personal commitment to knowledge seeking and sharing behaviors by modelling those behaviors and conveying similar expectations to those in the organization; Ensuring that J&J information assets are appropriately identified and valued, and are protected by complying with and enforcing all local and worldwide compliance and security policies; Ensuring that compliance and security is considered and emphasized in all IT plans and actions.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required; A minimum of six (6) years of IT and/or related experience is required; Prior experience supporting Commercial, Marketing and Sales function (ie CRM Systems, etc.) and driving strategy is required; A minimum of three (3) years of Program or Portfolio management is required; Experience leading a team and managing contractors is required; Knowledge of Application/System Design and Development is preferred; Experience with SDLC is required; Experience with ITIL is preferred; Experience with sales force automation tools is preferred; Vendor management experience is required. This position will be based in Menlo Park, CA.
